Hybrid Electric Vehicle. The wave of the future.

Leaving its technical terms aside,in a simple layman’s
language hybrid car is a vehicle that runs on any fuel
or electricity,which could be diesel,petrol or bio-fuel.
The owner of this vehicle has options to drive either

by using petrol or electricity, and can easily be switched
from one to another. These vehicles drastically help in
emission reduction by generation of power from an
electric motor, thus burning less fuel for every kilometer
you traveled.

The future production by automobile experts is a green
revolution in the automobile industry and driving a
vehicle that not environmental friendly would be a crime.
General Motors Chief Executive Rick Wagoner recently

made an announcement about his company’s future
vehicles will be electronics and green. We will be using
alternative fuels and smarter technology in protecting
both the people and the environment.Patrick le Quement
a Senior Vice President,Corporate Design,Renault

understands,We don’t have an alternative but to be eco-
friendly, which involves emission controls by using
flexfuel(Environmentally friendly alternatives to oil
based fuels)and using recycled plastic and biodegradable

material while designing a car,at Renault we regularly
use recycled plastics in our cars, not always at the exteriors
but somewhere inside the car were it cannot be seen, half
the cars American production lines will be devoted to
vehicles that are powered by “Flexfuel”and Ethanol by

the year 2012,top automobile experts agree that this is
the only practical green solution to run automobiles.
Sir Richard Branson, the boss of Virgin Atlantic created
history last year by flying his 747 plane on bio-fuel from

London to Amsterdam, the bio-fuel used on that plane
Was made up of coconut and babassu nut oil.Mr.Branson
Said,”that within a span of 3 to 4 years seventy percent of
the cars in India and the UK will be running on ethanol.”
Most recently automobile manufacturers across the globe

and in India will be flooding the market with green cars
but the most interesting cars will be the one that will run
on air.
